Cybermedia Design provides students with tools to feature their work on the Web.

"If you're a photographer, for example, your final project might be kind of a portfolio web," assistant professor Joe Murray said. "If you're a writer it features your writing; if you're a photographer it features your photos."

The course deals primarily with the Adobe's Web-building program, Dream-weaver.

"It's not so much graphic design as it is designing Web sites," Murray said.

"It's primarily a Dreamweaver course. I also throw in some other tools. There's a little bit of video editing, audio editing."

At the end of the semester, students will have completed production of their own Web site, along with a personal weblog and podcast.

"This is an important part of a student's multimedia toolbox,"
