December 2008 JMC grad earns top award in HearstBeth Rankin won first place in editorial writing in the Hearst Foundation contest. She received a $2,000 scholarship for her article, "I am not a White bitch,' published in The Stater. She qualified for the Hearst Writing Championship in San Francisco.
