JMC faculty go to 'camp' to learn multimedia

Eleven JMC faculty members gave up their post-Final Exam week to attend an intensive multimedia camp.

Following up on information learned during 'Camp Tweety' mini-sessions in the Spring Semester, the faculty got hands-on experience in shooting video and still photos, capturing audio, and editing it all into multimedia stories for the Web.

The projects were based on the theme, People You Should Know. Faculty worked in teams to create Web videos and audio slideshows.

Those attending were: Gene Shelton, Jacquie Marino, Teresa Hernandez, Bill Sledzik, Ann Schierhorn, Max Grubb, Michele Ewing, Jan Leach, Karen Kastner, Stefanie Moore and Mitch McKenney. Faculty instructors were Gary Hanson, Fred Endres, Dave Smeltzer, Joe Murray and Ben Whaley.

Here's the Web site with all the teams' projects.

Here's an interview with the camp's 'head counselor.'
