The 2009 Summer Diversity Institute allowed 14 young people to blossom in mind and spirit as they worked through a rigorous week-long journalism course at Kent State University to develop their talents in writing, interviewing, and creating multimedia productions.

Each participant brought their own unique qualities to this year's program allowing everyone to share in the true diversity of one another.
